Stiebel Eltron Hot Water Heat Pumps
German-engineered outdoor hot water heat pumps with active defrost to -5°C, maintenance-free technology, solar PV compatibility, and capacities of 220 L and 302 L — designed specifically for New Zealand conditions.
The Stiebel Eltron WWK Series are premium German-engineered outdoor hot water heat pumps that set a new benchmark for energy-efficient domestic hot water in New Zealand. Drawing free thermal energy from the surrounding air, the WWK range uses a fraction of the electricity consumed by a conventional electric hot water cylinder — making them one of the most cost-effective ways to heat water in a New Zealand home.
Available in four models across two tank sizes — WWK 222 and WWK 302 (220 L and 302 L respectively) and their H counterparts with a smart element — the range covers households of all sizes. The 220 L model can deliver 360 L of 40°C shower-temperature water per cycle; the 302 L model delivers 540 L. Active defrost keeps the unit operating reliably down to -5°C without requiring the element under normal conditions, while H models add a smart 1.7 kW element for the top 80 litres when demand is high. A unique roll-bond condenser maximises heat transfer efficiency, and the maintenance-free impressed current anode eliminates the need for regular sacrificial anode replacements in both hard and soft water areas. SG Ready compatibility allows integration with solar PV systems to maximize the use of free solar energy for hot water.
